Mardin Midyat’ta geçen, kaderleriyle savaşan insanların her şeye rağmen umutlarını kaybetmemelerinin anlatıldığı dizinin başrollerinde; Melisa Sözen, Engin Akyürek, Engin Altan Düzyatan ve Meral Okay oynuyor. Yapımını Tims Productions’un, yapımcılığını Timur Savcı’nın üstlendiği, yönetmenliğini Ulaş İnaç’ın yaptığı dizinin senaryosunu da Meral Okay’ın kaleme alıyor.

Dizinin konusu ise şöyle;
Güzelyurt adlı bir sınır kasabasında hayat sakin bir şekilde akarken, kasabanın en büyük ve görkemli konağında hastalıklı ve tutku dolu bir aşk yaşanmakta ve bu karşılıksız aşk, tanık olanların kanını dondurmaktadır. Belediye Başkanı Aslan Bulut (Ünal Silver) ve ailesi, kendi kurdukları bu düzende yaşarken bir gün kasabaya gelen doktorun olayların içine dahil olmasıyla, taşlar yerinden oynayacak, kurulu düzen değişecektir.
On yıldır dünyanın sorunlu bölgelerinde Birleşmiş Milletler’in sağlık programlarında çalışan Dr. Serdar Batur (Engin Altan Düzyatan), son olarak Güzelyurt adlı mayınlı bölgenin kıyısında yer alan bir sınır kasabasına gelir. Uzmanlık alanı cerrahi olan Dr. Serdar, bir taraftan bölgenin sağlık ocağında doktorluk yaparken, diğer taraftan da Birleşmiş Milletler’in bir görevlisi olarak sivillerden oluşan bir grup gönüllü ile mayınlı sahada çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Dr. Serdar’ın İstanbul’da yaşayan annesi İnci Hanım (Meral Okay) ve aile dostları, hem Serdar’ı ziyaret etmek için hem de güvenli bir sahada yeni okul yaptırmak için Güzelyurt’a ziyarete gelirler. Aynı gün bölgenin sevilen, sayılan kişilerinden Belediye Başkanı Aslan Bulut’un büyük oğlunun düğününe davetlidirler. Hep beraber düğüne giderler. İşte asıl olaylar ve akıl almaz bir trajedi, eğlenmek için gittikleri bu düğünde başlayacaktır.
